This show is not listed with an available recording in the "Forgotten Yesterdays" database, though I traded it a few times I'm not sure it ever really got into genearal circulation. It has never been available directly from the master tapes, so it is available here for the first time from the master recording. Taped from the lower balcony, halfway back and just a few rows off the floor, there are no cuts in the music at all, as usual with my audience recordings I'm not going to give you a big spiel on the quality and have posted samples so YOU can decide if you want to download it or not.
There was the occasional "wooooo" from the guy slightly to the left and one row behind me but I have edited those out in just the audience parts seamless and where it was during music I have smoothed it a bit so it is more in line with the volume of the music. The "woo's" during the music is minimal, after we asked him to keep it down due to my recording. That's always a dicey thing to do when taping as I've been turned into security after pleading with someone to keep it down in the past.
Yes fan or not a big Yes fan it will not interfere with your enjoyment of this show. Speaking of which, I haeven't listened to my master in many many years and I very much enjoyed hearing this show again, it really is a great show. I do recall leading up to the show I was a bit concerned abut how I'd like the "classic" YES songs with Trevor Rabin instead of Steve Howe but as soon as "Yours Is No Disgrace" kicked in I got that old feeling from back when my brother turned me on to them over 3 decasdes ago and I knew all was good.
I've pretty much come to expect few comments when posting shows except from the usual friends and suspects, thanks guys and gals but you can thank me by continuing to seed as long as possible so those not getting it early on have the opportunity grab this show later and folks can get it much quicker. The Quick Recording is ideal for production use or in environment where you need to rapidly and simply produce audio content such as a newsroom. The Quick Recorder is available as a 'Dynamic Layout Tile' so you can decide where is is displayed, what size it should be and on what layouts it is available.
The Library view offers an alternative way of viewing the content on your MediaWall. You can browse and select Songs, Links and other content by Type and Category using a common 'file browser' style interface familiar to everyone, allowing you to select Type and Category folders and sort the results alphabetically or numerically by clicking on the column headers. You can also do advanced searches on the Library view that return results virtually instantly.
Once you have found the content you are looking for, you can drag Media Items from the Library to everywhere in Myriad 5 Playout that you can use them players, Log, Favourites etc. Just type in what you are looking for get the result virtually instantly. Results can be sorted alphabetically by clicking on the column headers and dragged directly into Media Players, The Log, Favourites or the Pad.
You can set up to 32 separate Media Players with each 'connected' to a physical or virtual audio device soundcard on your computer. Multiple Media Players can be assigned to output through the same physical soundcard which is perfect for automation or productions systems. Media Players can also be set to be invisible so for example, you could have multiple hidden Media Players for your Favourites that all route to a single channel on your mixing desk.
Myriad Edit is the fully featured audio and meta-data editor built right into Myriad 5 Playout. Edit allows you to edit and fine-tune your audio, build new content and copy sections of audio to other Media Items or exported audio files. The Media Engine Host is a new option to separate the Myriad 5 Playout interface from the audio engine that actually plays out the audio.
In its standard configuration, Myriad 5 Playout handles the playing of audio through the Media Players itself meaning that the main application is responsible for the interface, the playout logic and actually playing the audio as required.
The optional Media Engine Host separates playing the audio from everything else that Myriad 5 Playout is doing so that the audio is actually played by a separate application that could be running on the same computer or a totally different computer. The main advantage of using this configuration is that should Myriad 5 Playout close unexpectedly then the Media Engine Host will continue to play audio giving you time to restart the main Myriad 5 Application.
